Professor Dr. Muhammad Mostafa Kamal Bhuiya
Head, Department of Mechanical Engineering

Professor Dr. Muhammad Mostafa Kamal Bhuiya is a highly esteemed higher education leader with extensive international experience and a proven track record of excellence in both academia and industry. Currently, he serves as the Head of the Department of Mechanical Engineering at CUET. Previously, he held the position of Head of the Department of Petroleum and Mining Engineering (PME) at CUET.
As a Full Professor of Mechanical Engineering, Dr. Bhuiya has made substantial contributions to Mechanical Engineering, enhancement of heat transfer, renewable energy, biofuels, engineering education, and academic leadership. He offers lectures in various undergraduate courses. His current research project focuses on advanced second- and third-generation biodiesel feedstocks for future transport fuels. Dr. Bhuiya's prolific scholarly work includes over 85 high-impact publications in peer-reviewed journals and conference proceedings.
