About Myself

Dr. Asiful Hoque holds the position of Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at Chittagong University of Engineering & Technology (CUET) and serves as the Director of the Institute of River, Harbor, and Environmental Science (IRHES). Furthermore, he plays a crucial role as a Scientific Expert in an international project titled "Sustainable Capacity Building to Reduce Irreversible Pollution by Plastics," funded by the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, and Nuclear Safety (BMU), Germany. His expertise encompasses various areas with a diverse background in Environmental Engineering, including Water Treatment, Wastewater Treatment, Air Pollution, Environmental Impact Assessment, Sanitation, and Rainwater Harvesting. He is a Life Fellow of IEB and a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) Prof. Asif received prestigious Japanese government (MEXT) scholarships for Doctoral study in Hokkaido University. Prof. Asif has published around 33 technical papers in national and international journals and conferences.
