About Myself

Mostafizur Rahman received his Ph.D degree in Mechanical Engineering (Self-healing Materials) from Yokohama National University, Japan in 2024. He pursued his M.Sc. degree in Mechanical Engineering  (Dynamics & Vibration) with CGPA 4.00/4.00 from CUET in 2019. He completed his B.Sc. degree  in Mechanical Engineering with CGPA 3.80/4.00 from  CUET in 2015. He got Japanese government scholarship (MEXT) for carrying out doctoral reserach work. He was awarded "CUET Alumuni Merit award and Technical Scholarship" for outstanding results in undergraduate. He was also awarded Board (Jessore) scholarship for result in HSC. He started his very first professional career in Pran-Rfl Group as Trainee Engineer and later promoted to Assistant Manager. Later, he jointed as Lecturer at Department of Mechanical Engineering in Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology (CUET) on 8th January 2017. Currently, he is working as Assistant Professor at Department of Mechanical Engineering in Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology (CUET).

Field of Interest

Self-Healing Materials,  Finite Element Modeling, Composite Materials, Advanced Fracture Mechanics of Materials, and Machine Dynamics & Vibration.

Ph.D thesis title: Numerical study on cracking, self-healing, and re-cracking behaviors in oxidation-induced self-healing ceramics

B.Sc. thesis title: Design and fabrication of a mechanically powered lawn mower
