International conference on Physics for sustainable development and Technology
October 29-30, 2025
Welcome to our icpsdt
6th International Conference on Physics for Sustainable Development and Technology (ICPSDT)-2025
I feel immense pleasure to let you all know that the 6th International Conference on “Physics for Sustainable Development and Technology (ICPSDT)-2025” is going to be held on 29-30 October 2025, organized by the Department of Physics, Chittagong University of Engineering & Technology (CUET), Chattogram, Bangladesh.
The first conference on Physics organized by this Department was held in 2009 as a national event. ICPSDT, as elaborated above, has been being arranged as a two-yearly event since 2015 on a regular basis. The prime objective of this conference is to bring together and provide a world-class platform to accumulate and exchange innovative ideas, latest research and unique experiences related to Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Applied Science and Engineering.
Participation of prominent scientists as keynote and invited speakers from home and abroad will hopefully enrich and flourish the conference along with providing fruitful outcomes for researchers, academicians and industrialists as well. Hence, we feel honored and privileged, on behalf of CUET, to invite all prospective researchers to attend the conference by submitting their original research work to this upcoming event.
CUET is a public university of Bangladesh, situated in the southeastern region, pioneering in fundamental and technological research. The location of the university is about 25 kilometers northeast of Chattogram city. This university has been promisingly contributing to the technical development of our country since the day of its establishment in 1968.
The Department of Physics is committed to disseminating knowledge through quality research within its affordability through M.Sc., M.Phil. and Ph.D. programs in different fields of Physics. Major focus areas of current faculties are Condensed Matter Physics, Nuclear and Health Physics, Atmospheric Physics and Nano Physics and Applications. The department is pursuing research in synchronous collaborations with some other universities and institutes at home and abroad.
Chattogram is the 2nd largest city as well as the main financial entrance to Bangladesh. The city is located on the banks of the Karnaphuli River, in between Chattogram Hill Tracts and the Bay of Bengal, hence full of incredible natural beauties. The Port of Chattogram is the largest international seaport on the Bay of Bengal. Many historical and ancient architectural places are situated in this city.
Besides, there are several tourist spots including Patenga sea beach, Foy’s Lake, 2nd World War Cemetery, Kaptai Lake, D.C. Hill, Batali Hill, etc. Moreover, very close to this city, the most popular tourist spots in Bangladesh like Cox’s Bazar (the longest natural sea beach in the world), Rangamati, Bandarban, Khagrachari, etc. will believably appear as attractive and fascinating to you as well.
We wholeheartedly welcome you and look forward to meeting you at the conference.
